The is located on the shores of Lake Ontario in Eastern Wayne County and Northern Cayuga County. It is approximately 20 miles from Oswego and Auburn, 40 miles from the City of Syracuse and 50 miles from the City of Rochester. The district encompasses the hamlets of Martville and Victory and the villages of Red Creek and Fair Haven. The area is well known for its beautiful Lake Ontario sunsets, boating, year-round fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, golfing, and swimming. The school has a successful track record of passed budgets attained through the continued support from the community. Our students have achieved educational success on NCLB New York State tests, SAT scores and graduation rate. After the 2007 school year our SAT scores were the highest in Wayne County and 10th out of 78 schools in a six county area. Our elementary and middle schools have received recognition as a “High Performing Gap Closing School” from the state education department. The serves a rural, upstate New York community situated on the southeast shore of Lake Ontario. The district is among the neediest in the state with over 50 percent of students receiving free or reduced lunch, 25 percent of our children living below the poverty line, and approximately 20 percent of Students with Disabilities. Despite these constraints, Red Creek families have always placed a high value on education. Our well maintained campus features a state of the art recreation center used by students and community members of all ages. Red Creek has a tradition of academic excellence consistently ranking in the top 10 of 431 districts in Upstate New York on Buffalo's Business First Achievement Index which takes into account poverty and achievement. Students are given the opportunity to self-select challenging AP and college courses. Our 1-to-1 Chromebook program gives every student access to their teachers and online tools to support success. Red Creek is known statewide for winning athletic teams, particularly soccer. Our Envirothon and Science Olympiad teams are perennial state contenders. Students regularly win State and National Awards in music, literature, and art.
